What services does BriefHelp.com provide?  The following are some of the services that we provide: (1) conduct research and provide a list of citations or copies of the relevant materials; (2) prepare an in-house memorandum explaining the case law as it applies to the facts of your case; (3) draft a persuasive brief or legal memorandum in support of a motion; 4) draft an appellate brief.

We work solely for other attorneys, not for the general public. Any attorney using our services is expressly advised that we are not engaged in the practice of law, and that our work product does not constitute legal advice and is prepared solely for review by the requesting attorney.  Our attorney clients are ultimately responsible for the work product submitted on behalf of their clients. How does BriefHelp.com conduct its research?  We primarily use LEXIS online legal research, and also rely on traditional law libraries for manual research.

How does BriefHelp.com handle confidential information?  BriefHelp.com has the same obligation to preserve the privileged information of your client as does a member of your office.  We hold all client information in the strictest confidence.

What are your rates?  Generally, we charge for our work product on an hourly basis. In all cases, online research costs are included in the hourly rate. For more detail, please refer to our Rates page.

How do you bill for your work? We bill separately for each project upon completion. For long-term projects, billing is on a monthly basis. Payment is due within 15 days of receiving the invoice.

What is the procedure for submitting a project request? To submit a project request, please contact one of our staff attorney to discuss the specifics of your project. We will need all relevant information, such as: 1) your client's name; 2) the case name and/or caption; 3) the type of project you would like us to complete; 4) factual information regarding the case; 5) jurisdictional restrictions for our research; 6) copies of relevant file documents; 7) your timetable for completion of the project. Contact Us .
